Collection: Lum-Tec Watch Company | USA Assembled Tool Watches with MDV Lume

Lum-Tec is a family-run, USA-based watch company. Lum-Tec says its watches are designed and engineered in Ohio, and each one is hand assembled and tested in Mentor, Ohio with international and domestic components. The CGA Company is an authorized Lum-Tec dealer: every watch here is new, is covered by Lum-Tec's 2-year limited warranty, and ships free within the US.

About Lum-Tec and MDV lume

Lum-Tec says that since 2007 it has produced watches for more than 100 brands around the world, the US government and SWAT teams. Each watch is individually assembled and tested by hand. Lifetime services are provided by Lum-Tec, not The CGA Company, under Lum-Tec's own terms; depending on the model, Lum-Tec lists free seal cleaning, pressure testing, battery changes or timing regulation.

The signature feature is MDV® luminous technology. Lum-Tec says the dial is printed with more than 30 layers of Super-Luminova over a chemically coated, reflective base. Depending on the model, you'll see grades such as X1 C3, X1 208LE or BGW9. Lum-Tec says its dials have been tested and verified by RcTritec in Switzerland to be top performers of the Super-Luminova material.

The Lum-Tec lineup: which series suits you?

Combat B series

Lum-Tec's long-running field watch series; Lum-Tec says the original Combat B1 debuted in 2007. Military-style dials, domed sapphire crystals and heavy nylon military straps. A good pick if you want an everyday field watch, with options in automatic, quartz, chronograph, day-date and GMT.

Combat Field X series

Forged GR2 titanium cases, 44 mm wide, with Miyota 9075 automatic movements: the X4 offers independent hour setting and the X6 is a GMT. For wearers who want a larger watch that stays light on the wrist.

Eclipse series

A thin 9.1 mm case with an integrated, tapered steel bracelet. The Eclipse is a dressier option and works for someone who wants one watch for the office and the weekend.

Solar Marine series

39 mm solar-powered divers rated to 300 meters. The VS42A solar quartz movement charges from light instead of relying on a disposable battery. A good option for swimming, travel and smaller wrists.

M series (M94 and M94D Bronze GMT)

Limited and numbered bronze GMT watches with Horween leather straps and 200 meters of water resistance. For collectors who like a case that develops its own patina.

RPM series

The RPM 3 is a racing-inspired chronograph with a three-layer dial. A fit for motorsport fans who want a stopwatch on the wrist.
